APTA 100 Days of Service – The West Virginia Plan

As part of the Centennial Celebration, APTA is encouraging all APTA members to get engaged in the 100 Days of Service. The 100 Days of Service officially begins on September 22, 2021. The WVPTA Centennial Ambassador (Dr. Kimeran Evans) and the Board of Directors have developed a plan to partner with local West Virginia Non-Profit Organizations and Clubs such as the Rotary Club or Lions Club to both educate and to serve our communities. We are asking all WVPTA members to reach out to a non-profit  organization or club in your local community and request an opportunity to present a short 15-30 minute talk on Physical Therapy and the impact that we have had on patients and clients for 100 years. The WVPTA has created a generic PowerPoint Presentation that can be downloaded and modified to fit your individual needs. The Chapter leadership is also asking that you partner with the selected non-profit organization or club on an existing community service project in your local area. This effort will help spread the word about our wonderful profession and the Centennial, create an opportunity to meet new people in your community, and give back to citizens of your city or county. APTA is also collaborating with Special Olympics, Go Baby Go, and Move Together for 100 Days of Service. Please watch the WVPTA 100 Days of Service (VIDEO) for more information.
