Carrie Griffin, PTA, SPT

SSIG Vice President

Carrie Griffin is a second-year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Wheeling University. She graduated from a Physical Therapist Assistant Program at South University in 2015. The following year she graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Health Science with concentrations in Health Science and Aging Studies and a minor in Psychology. Carrie has been a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant in Oklahoma, Washington and Alabama. Since beginning the physical therapy program at Wheeling University, Carrie has become the Physical Therapy Club President coordinating fundraisers and additional community outreach activities for her peers. Carrie has previously attended the Student Leadership Academy and has learned how important it is to speak up for your profession. Carrie hopes to utilize her previous experience as a strength, along with her leadership skills to help elevate the SSIG of West Virginia to the next level. Carrie is very appreciative for the opportunity to serve as Vice President and is eager to work with members in our profession and in West Virginia.
