Gabrielle Portillo is currently a second-year student at Marshall University’s School of Physical Therapy (MUSOPT). She earned her B.S. in Psychology and Biology with Honors at West Virginia University (WVU) in December of 2019. During her time at WVU, Gabrielle participated in Psychology Club and Pre-Med Club. During her final three semesters, she was employed by WVU’s academic coaching program, MindFit, where she worked with several neurodiverse university students in a one-on-one setting.
Thus far as a second-year physical therapy student, Gabrielle serves as a student officer for the Class of 2024 and oversees organization of the class’s yearbook. Since joining MUSOPT in May 2021, she has participated in several community service events including the AD Lewis Health Fair and the Ronald McDonald House. Whenever she has free time in her schedule, she likes to spend it exercising, drawing, or learning a new skill. Gabrielle appreciates your consideration for Treasurer of the APTA-WV SSIG and looks forward to representing MUSOPT, advocating for physical therapy within West Virginia, and for the enriching experiences that come with this role.
