Jaimee Martin, SPT

SSIG Secretary

Jaimee Martin is currently a second-year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Wheeling University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, with a minor in Psychology, from West Virginia Wesleyan College in December 2020. During her time at West Virginia Wesleyan, Jaimee was a part of the service scholar program and volunteered in the Buckhannon community on a weekly basis. She also served as the social justice team coordinator for Invisible Illnesses and was the VP of Membership in Alpha Delta Pi.

At Wheeling University, Jaimee has been actively involved in Service Learning programs and is now seeking an additional role as the Secretary of SSIG. Her prior involvement in social justice teams has taught her how to advocate, and she wishes to continue her advocacy, this time for the physical therapy profession. Jaimee intends to utilize her previous experiences, as well as her leadership skills, to help enhance the SSIG of West Virginia.

She is grateful for the opportunity to potentially serve as Secretary and is excited to collaborate with both members and non-members, both in our profession and in West Virginia.
