Marrina Brown is a second-year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Marshall University. Marrina graduated from West Virginia University in 2019 with her B.A. in Dance and her B.S. in Exercise Physiology. While at West Virginia University, Marrina was an active member in the Student Dance Association, participated in the Mountaineer THON which raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, was a tutor for her sorority, taught dance at a local dance studio, and volunteered weekly for the Boxing for Power at the WVU Human Performance Lab. Since beginning the physical therapy program at Marshall University, Marrina joined the student board for the school’s Pro Bono clinic MUVIT which provides free physical therapy services to those in the community in need. In Marrina’s free time she likes to walk her cat Mochi, get involved with her program’s outreach extracurricular activities, and dance. Marrina looks forward to the opportunity to serve in this position and hopes to use her organizational skills to help keep the APTA-WV SSIG excelling. She appreciates your consideration of her nomination for secretary of the APTA-WV SSIG and looks forward to working with members in and around the profession and our state.
