Marrina Brown is a third-year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Marshall University. Marrina Brown graduated from West Virginia University in 2019 with a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. Since beginning the physical therapy program at Marshall University, Marrina has become the student clinic coordinator for the school’s Pro Bono clinic, MUVIT, which provides free physical therapy services to those in the community in need. Marrina, in her second year, also presented a case study from the pro-bono clinic at the APTA-WV Annual Meeting in Wheeling, WV. Marrina has also previously attended the Student Leadership Academy and believes she can utilize her leadership skills to keep the WVPTA SSIG pushing forward. Marrina was also previously the secretary on the WVPTA SSIG board the previous year and helped facilitate monthly meetings, as well as take meeting notes, assisted in creating monthly newsletters, and helped set up the new monthly webinars. Marrina looks forward to the opportunity to serve in this position and hopes and use her organizational skills and leadership skills to help keep the WVPTA SSIG excelling.
