Matthew Strange

SSIG Treasurer

Matthew Strange is a second-year student physical therapist at West Virginia University. Matthew graduated from the University of Richmond in 2022 with a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Before beginning his DPT curriculum, Matthew spent two years gaining clinical experience as an aide/technician across multiple settings in Virginia and West Virginia. In his first year at WVU, Matthew assumed the roles of APTA Representative for his Class of 2026 cohort and Treasurer for the newly formed WVU Student Physical Therapy Club. Matthew has also attended the 2024 WV-APTA Student Leadership Academy, where he feels he learned valuable leadership skills that will translate well into the role of Treasurer for the WVPTA SSIG. Matthew is excited about the opportunity to fill the role of treasurer and help the SSIG continue to grow and succeed. He would be honored to serve as Treasurer of the WVPTA Student Special Interest Group and be a leader in the profession in the state he calls home.
