Melanie Lambert, PT, DPT is an assistant professor at Marshall University School of Physical Therapy (MUSOPT). She has over 10 years of clinical experience treating a variety of populations including sports, orthopedics, and occupational rehabilitation. She completed her manual therapy certification through The Manual Therapy Institute and has been a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy since 2014. Dr. Lambert has spent many years in various managerial and leadership roles and continues to serve as a clinical mentor within the community. She has been active in service to the profession through multiple community driven initiatives and coordination of advocacy efforts within the MUSOPT. She is currently working on obtaining her Doctor of Health Science through the University of Indianapolis and carries a research agenda focused on professional formation in DPT students, clinical reasoning in clinical practice, and community-based service learning. Outside of the academic setting Dr. Lambert has many personal interests including hiking with her dogs and husband, cooking, woodworking, and visual arts.
